My Keep Moving Forward Story
A Castle Rock Native's Journey
Born and raised right here in Castle Rock, I have the unique experience of attending three different schools the very first year they opened—elementary, middle, and high school. This community is home for me.
Finding My Calling in Moving
I started in the moving industry when I was 19, working for several different companies over the years. Each experience taught me something valuable. I had one boss who was genuinely compassionate—he showed me what it meant to create a positive work environment where people actually wanted to come to work. That inspiration stuck with me.
But I also saw what was missing in this industry. Too many companies would overstaff jobs with too many guys but not provide enough consistent work. Others paid wages that were barely better than McDonald's, despite the fact that we were doing three times the physical work with infinitely more responsibility—handling people's most precious belongings.
Born from Necessity
When COVID hit in 2020, I was working at Two Men and a Truck. Like most of us in the industry, work became scarce. It was during this challenging time that Keep Moving Forward was born.
I didn't have funding. I didn't have investors. What I had was determination and a vision of how moving should be done—with fair wages, proper staffing, honest pricing, and genuine care for both customers and crew members.
Building Brick by Brick
I've built this company piece by piece, often having those pieces knocked down or taken away. But that's life, isn't it? There's nothing you can do except keep moving forward. That's not just our name—it's been my philosophy through every challenge I've faced.
